The Mansfield Downtown Partnership’s 17th Annual Celebrate Mansfield Festival will have a different feel this year. Rather than a one-day event, this year’s celebration of the people, businesses, and community organizations that make Mansfield special will take place throughout the month of September.

“Since the first Festival, one of the best parts of our event is having the whole community gather together,” said Partnership Executive Director Cynthia van Zelm. “We will certainly miss that aspect this year, but we look forward to finding new ways to celebrate our community this September.”

Ms. van Zelm continued, “After reviewing the health and safety guidelines, we determined that these necessary measures would significantly impact the look and feel of the event as well as limit the number of attendees we could accommodate.”

The Partnership decided to reimagine the Celebrate Mansfield Festival for 2020 so that a greater number of residents, businesses, and community organizations can participate.

Plans are in the works for fun ways to highlight and celebrate the community while keeping in mind public health and safety. Look for updates as planning progresses at downtownstorrsfestival.org.
