February 12, 2025: Busy folks craving a home-cooked meal have a new option in Mansfield: Krispy Sicilian is now open at 650 Middle Turnpike.
Owner Kristin Pinkston has turned her culinary talents to creating a wide variety of Sicilian dishes for take-out only at her new restaurant. Options include meals fully cooked as well as “boil-in-bag” meals and frozen meals that can be enjoyed at a later date. The menu will feature favorites like lasagna, ravioli, braciole, cannoli, and more.
Kristin previously owned BK’s Country Kitchen in Mansfield Center before spending nearly thirty years raising her family and working in the healthcare industry. She is excited to return to cooking for the community.
“This is a passion project for me,” said Kristin. “I am looking forward to serving up home-style recipes to old friends and new fans.”
Krispy Sicilian (a play on her name Kris. P.) is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 AM until 7:00 PM. It is conveniently located at 650 Middle Turnpike in the Four Corners neighborhood. For residents traveling home or workers leaving town at the end of the day, the location is ideal for picking up a wholesome meal to enjoy at home.
“We are thrilled to welcome Krispy Sicilian to Mansfield’s growing culinary scene,” said Town Manager Ryan Aylesworth. “It is always great when a business owner chooses Mansfield, but, it is especially gratifying when the business owner happens to also be a resident. Four Corners is growing with a new high-density housing development set to open this year, having another dining option to complement others in this part of town will be very beneficial is the neighborhood experiences additional growth in the coming years.”
A ribbon-cutting for Krispy Sicilian will be held Saturday, February 15 at 9:30 AM.
