The Mansfield Downtown Partnership Board of Directors wishes to share the news that our Executive Director, Cynthia van Zelm, has recently stepped down after twenty-two years of faithful service to the Partnership.

Cynthia’s tireless work on behalf of the Town and UConn in redeveloping Downtown Storrs will have a lasting impact on Mansfield, the University, and our region. We thank her for her dedication to our organization, her support for our businesses, and her contributions to our community. We wish her all the best in her next chapter.

In the coming weeks, the Partnership’s Executive Committee will begin a deliberative process to select Cynthia’s successor.

At its regular meeting on May 2, the Board of Directors appointed Senior Communications Manager Kathleen Paterson to serve as the Acting Executive Director in the interim.
