The Mansfield Downtown Partnership will launch its popular Moonlight Movies series this Friday.

The free, outdoor movies series will take place on Betsy Paterson Square in Downtown Storrs on Friday, August 4; Friday, August 11; and Friday, August 18.

Activities begin at 7:30 PM; the movies begin at dusk. Moonlight Movies are free and open to everyone.

2023 Schedule:

August 4: Lightyear (Rated PG; runtime 1 hour, 40 minutes)
August 11: The Princess Bride (Rated PG; runtime 1 hour, 38 minutes)
August 18: Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania (Rated PG-13; runtime 2 hours, 4 minutes)

Prior to each movie, there will be lawn games and activities to enjoy on the Square.

Visitors are invited to bring snacks or bring take-out from one of over two dozen eateries in Downtown Storrs. There will also be refreshments for sale at the Square, including popcorn from the Partnership and cold treats from the UConn Dairy Bar Ice Cream Truck.

Rain dates are the following Wednesday.
