The Town of Mansfield and the Mansfield Downtown Partnership invite residents and friends to celebrate Halloween with fun activities for all ages, all around Mansfield!
From drive-in movies to drive-through fall feasts, Mansfield businesses, municipal departments, and UConn programs have some great (socially distanced) ways to get out and get in the spirit in the coming weeks!
Get a unique view of the fall foliage in the trees with a visit to The Adventure Park at Storrs. Be sure to ask about their special “Glow in the Park – Fall Festival” nights
The Mansfield Drive-In Theatre & Marketplace is featuring festive films all month-long, with a special celebration on Halloween night!
Senior friends can enjoy a drive-through fall feast at the Mansfield Senior Center. Register by Oct. 23 by calling 860.429.2626 to reserve your serving of fall favorites: Chili, cornbread, cider, & "Pumpkin Patch" brownies! (Cost is $5 per person)
All ages are welcome to try their hand at puppet-making with the Ballard Institute & Museum of Puppetry on Friday, Oct. 23 at their free, virtual Halloween Shadow Stories Workshop! No experience is required, but registration is: Register by Oct. 22 at bimp.uconn.edu
The Mansfield Public Library has a full week of virtual and in-person fun for all ages planned, starting with “Not So Spooky Anymore,” a virtual presentation featuring some of the world’s most misunderstood animals on Saturday, Oct. 24. The Mansfield Parks and Recreation Department will host its annual Trick-a-Trunk, but with a twist! This year’s event will be a drive-through affair at the Mansfield Middle School on Saturday, Oct. 31. Celebrate El Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) on Sunday, November 1 with the Jorgensen Center for the Performing Arts! They will present Sugar Skull! A Virtual Día de Muertos Adventure on their digital stage. A Q&A session will follow the performance. Tickets can be purchased at jorgensen.uconn.edu.
